Balcarres is proud of their Integrated Care Centre that opened in October 1999. The Balcarres Integrated Care Center is better known as the B.I.C.C. There is no local board and we are part of the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region.
The facility consists of Long Term Care, including 42 Long Term Beds and 2 Respite Beds. There is Lab-X ray Service 5 days a week and the Primary Health Clinic complete with 2 doctors and 2 nurse practitioners.

Services provided at B.I.C.C. are Telehealth, Physio Therapy, Dietitian, Diabetic Educator, Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Councilors.
Home Care Nurses and Aids are also a service provided.
A bus is provided for the Handi-Capped and Special Needs Persons with in the Facility and Community.
For the Long Term Care Residents the following is available:
- A Beautiful Natural Exterior Courtyard
- Entertainment and Activity arranged by a Recreation Director
- Various activities that are provided by numerous Volunteers and Organization Groups.
- There is a day program available for persons who are at home with family and not in long term.
- There is a pastoral group that organizes services of worship with various faiths. Ministerial support is always available.

The community’s health center strives to deliver prompt, comprehensive health services in the areas of community health. We serve the four bands of Peepeekisis, Okanese, Star Blanket and Little Black Bear and work as a team in our determination to deliver excellence in the delivery of services of community health and the mandatory programs involved.
We also strive to meet the expectations of the community’s Service and Delivery Plan and the Evaluation results.
